Lucy Kimbell: LIX - E
NOVEMBER 2001 – JANUARY 2002

The LIX-E is a research project that involves the creation of a new performance measurement system. Artist/consultant Lucy Kimbell will work with the occupants (employees, visitors, tenants) of the Media Centre to define a conceptual model that somehow maps the Centre, measuring both tangible and intangible data, the trivial, the poetic and the apparently dull. The resulting index will be a kind of dynamic portrait of the Media Centre, displayed on screens in The Medialounge. A brief glance at the screen should be able to help the visitor/director/tenant answer the question "How are we doing?"
