Survey of Media Arts Centre, Bulgaria

The exhibition highlights the artistic production of the InterSpace Media Art Centre, Sofia, Bulgaria and associated artists. Medialounge presents recent projects produced collectively by InterSpace, and three individual projects by InterSpace artists.

The selected works give an overview of the contemporary media art scene in Bulgaria and the pivotal role of InterSpace in the local 'socio-cultural' context. Presentations include documentation of earlier InterSpace projects and public events in Sofia as well as screenings of video art.

The second part of the exhibition features three individual projects, representative of a range of issues addressed by InterSpace artists using digital media technologies.

Cult.bg
The project 'Server for Art and Culture in Bulgaria - Cult.bg' aims to provide all the necessary prerequisites for the establishment and maintenance of an open information network for the Bulgarian cultural scene by using the potential of the Internet.
